Summer School 2007
The seventh edition of the International Summer School in Forensic Linguistic Analysis was held at Aston Univesrity from 17 to 21 September. We hosted 15 participants who came from all over the world. Austria, Ghana, Japan, Malaysia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, USA and the UK were all represented. To see the programme, click here.

IAFL 2007 Conference
Over 90 papers were presented during the eighth biennial conference of the International Association of Forensic Linguists, which took place at the University of Washington in Seattle between 12 and 15 July 2008. Malcolm Coulthard gave a plenary talk on 'Expressing and Evaluating Expert Opinions'. Krzysztof Kredens and Tim Grant presented papers entitled 'Linguistic Expert Evidence in Polish Courts' and 'Where Linguists (Should) Fear to Tread - Some Limits to Forensic Linguistic Evidence', respectively contributing to a special panel on 'International Account of (Linguistic) Authorship Attribution (AA)', chaired by prof.
