Birmingham

As Britain's second largest city, Birmingham offers a great variety of tourist attractions. In a nutshell, it is famous for culture, shopping and food. It has a great many theatres, museums and art galleries. The recently-completed Bullring, with its extraordinary Selfridges building is one of Europe's biggest shopping centres. A 45-minute train journey from Birmingham lies Stratford-upon- Avon, William Shakespeare's birthplace and a town of numerous grade-A listed buildings.
